I’ve had this around for awhile and finally decided to go looking for it.

LouAnn Motts sent it to me in 2007 and the clipping is from the Richmond (IN) Palladium-Item, which includes the notation

“My dad (Grayden Luker) planted this tree.”

If you want to know more or less where the tree was actually located, the Sagamore Resort near the lake is on old Ind. 101 and the tree was generally west of where the old county line marker still stands after all these years. That marker offers up its own mystery, which can lead to madness!
