Harold Starr Updike has connections to Fairfield. He spent part of his life in and out of town. This photo was taken in 1932, when he was a senior at Springfield Township High School. I’m told he and his brothers were outstanding athletes.

He served in the Navy in WWII, aboard the Destroyer Minesweeper USS Elliot.

He died in 1965.
